Scoop of the day: an old Sage’s wisdom sapionatural, March 22, 2024August 4, 2024 An elderly gentleman with wisdom flowing through his silvery hair, sits on his porch gazing at his meticulously manicured garden. Through the years, he has been well-seasoned with the woes of life. Through his years, he was an outstanding citizen, but is now completely reliant on his servants and family to care for his basic human needs. The elderly gentleman sees his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren playing in his neat garden. Every now and again, one of the children would bump into a tree or kick over one of his flower pots, shattering the clay and inevitably causing the death of the plant. Often, the children argue about some banality. The elderly gentleman has often pondered what would happen to his garden and everything he has accumulated for his offspring. He knows that his heirs will not care for his things as he once did; they will wreck it all and fight after his death. The family will be torn apart by grief and greed. After his second-born, the foreboding of the future saddened him immensely. Sometimes, he wished he had no money and that his offspring would have to fend for themselves, just like he did when he grew up. He is forced back to reality as one of his grandsons screams in delight before plunging into the pool. The Sage smiles inwardly, a grin spread between his wrinkly cheeks. He knows he cannot and should not intervene with what lies ahead for his lineage. His garden is no longer his, and he could not fathom a better moment as this.
